Tulum
Mayan territory
Tulum is a town on the Caribbean coast of the Yucatán peninsula. It used to be a walled Mayan city that served as a port for Coba. Being one of the last cities built by the Maya it was abandoned by the end of the 16th century. Today Tulum is one of the best preserved coastal Maya sites.
Some of Mexico's best beaches are right here - difficult to find sand any whiter than this one.
Today it is famous for being a busy little town surrounded by countless cenotes and for its paradise-like beaches. While Tulum offers many options for those seeking nightlife, it also caters for those looking for calm and peace.
During our stay we have plenty of opportunities to get a taste of real Mexican food, enjoy cultural events etc.
We will also visit the spectactular Mayan ruins in Cobá, about 45 minutes from Tulum. Transportation, entrance fee and guide will be provided to make sure the only surprises are the stories revealed by these remains. After a guided walk we will take some bycicles and go exploring for ourselves - we can even climb the huge pyramid in the picture.
Cozumel
true island vibes
Cozumel enchants with turquoise waters and a rich cultural past shaped by the Maya, who honored the island as a sacred place of pilgrimage to the goddess Ixchel. Traces of this heritage remain in archaeological sites and local traditions, while colonial influences and Caribbean rhythms give the island its warm, laid-back character. Colorful streets, friendly communities, and fresh coastal cuisine reflect a blend of history and everyday life that feels both vibrant and timeless. We’ll enjoy one day of diving from a private boat (three dives with lunch), and another heading north to a secluded beach for relaxing, snorkeling, and a laid-back picnic.
